Tom Carnegie broke his shoulder recently. Carnegie, who is known as the voice of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, retired in May after calling 61 Indy 500 races.
Friends say the 87-year-old Motorsports Hall of Fame of America member is on the mend but frustrated because he hasn’t been able to drive and get out much since his accident.
